The Plastics Engineering Technology major is an engineering technology degree; it focuses on the practical application of new technologies and engineering principles for the development, optimization, and production of plastic products and processes. The facilities rank among the best in the nation. Being plastics-specific, new graduates enter the plastics industry in positions of responsibility and are effective immediately with a minimum of additional training.
The Penn State Erie Plastics Engineering Technology degree program is one of four recognized programs in the country.
This program is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc., www.abet.org.
